Tantra, waking up and shamanism

Bodywork for awakening

To awake others via bodywork is our passion. Not via discussions, not via thinking, nor via the intellect. Those roads do not lead to the recognition of who you really are. Only via the direct insight awakening that can happen. Many have asked me to explain more about the shamanic tantric approach. The approach to recognize your essence, and to wake up for it. That can only happen if you do not take yourself serious. Because it is not about ‘yourself’. But that will happen on its own accord once you glide into tantra land…

The activating a person’s bodymind system may start during a session, for instance via pulsation techniques or tragering. The invitation is to first surrender to the rhythmic sensations in the body. And trust the session and the hand on your body bringing you into motion. Both externally as well as internally. Because only in motion can we recognize the motionlessness in you. Your essence can only be recogized in its silence and stillness.

Using our sexual energy

As we are all emprisoned by our conditionings in this field, working within it is leaving the comfort zone. So the first act of surrendering to the unknown and stepping out of the comfort zone is required to be able to awake for who you really are. Because without surrender you will not follow the wisdom of your body. In its movements following the tantric flow. In order to drop the mind, full surrender is required. In the state which follows a strong tantric flow can be build up. Breath, involuntary movements, spastic movements, tremors, shaking and even catatonic movements, all can happen during the phase of surrender.

Surrender to your Nature: TAIA

During the session you surrender to your nature, you just flow into this unique moment, responding without any thoughts to how the body react on the tantric touch. And in that magic of this happening a waking-up is possible. The Bushmen shamans call this ‘taia’. The word has been misunderstood as a trance-state. But it is not. Trance is the subconscious state resembling falling asleep. Taia is the opposite, it is the awakened state where you via direct experience recognize who you are. Your nature is to be awake. Actually you are already awake, but you do not see it. You do not recognize. And thus you keep identified and lost in your life and the world.

The Tantric Spiral

To be able to recognize the essence of yourself, a tantric spiral emerged in my bodywork. Step by step we move from session to session, learning to surrender more and more and to trust. Surrender to the emerging now and trusting in your own bodymind system and its reactions. Just flow into a let-go. In our current society this is totally against all habits you have learned and conditionings. But it is the only ground based on which you can learn to see. And can wake up. Some cannot cope with the intensity and back-off. That is allright. In my experience people who are not yet up to it for whatever reasons, might step in on a later point of time.

Those who walk with me the tantric ladder via this spiral discover that their life becomes much richer. That is logical, because once the conditionings gets looser, more is perceived. And enjoyed. Step for step we can get to know our nature and start understanding our potentiality. In order to enjoy life from your full potential of being awake.

The Moving Body and the Body which is Moved

In each tantra session your body gets moved and starts moving and is moved. The level how you surrender to the situation can vary, and some people need some sessions to trust this process of surrender. Only in full surrender and trust we can unleash the Kundalini power in our body, via the tantric touch. That is the source of a powerful resurrection from the conditionings of the past. Your self-limiting convictions will be burned in the light of this resurrection.

A clear sign for surrender is the emergence of movements in the body, and gestures as well as breath patters which are all known in esoteric traditions since centuries. You invent them. Re-invent them. This ancient wisdom of the body lies dormant. Tantra touch can awaken that which is already there. In becoming that tantric flow recognition of your true self can happen. Because you come in touch with silence and stillness behind the upsweeping energies. And ultimately you can recognize who you really are and in that moment you stop taking yourself serious. And that brings a great relief. And a great opportunity. The gate to Freedom opened itself. And you find yourself back as a silence, from which any dance can happen. Shunyam Adhibhu
