This idea has captured my thinking and meditations since some time now. I dived deep into the phenomena of phosphenes (the yoga path of inner light) and the yoga path of sound (Nada yoga). I started to see and hear subtle information. By and by the intensity grew. The messages became more clear and louder. I am now in the phase I can see, I understand the Akasha Chronicles! I start with how the phosphenes can be the carrier of the divine messages from these chronicles.

From both a meditative and theoretical perspective, phosphenes can be considered as gateways to perceiving or “reading” the Akashic Chronicles (also called the Akashic Records). Here is an exploration of how this works….:
1. Phosphenes as a Bridge to Inner Perception
Phosphenes, those shifting patterns of light and color perceived behind closed eyes, have historically been regarded in many meditative and mystical traditions as subtle doorways to deeper layers of consciousness. Because they exist precisely at the interface between physical neurological processes and inner subjective perception, they naturally occupy the very region in which mystics say the Akashic information can be accessed.
2. Akashic Records: Information Beyond Time and Space
The Akashic Chronicles, according to esoteric traditions, represent an infinite library: a metaphysical archive containing information of every thought, emotion, event, and experience that has ever occurred or will occur. It’s believed that this vast store of universal information exists beyond conventional notions of space-time, accessible primarily through deep states of meditation, altered consciousness, and intuitive perception.
Phosphenes, in this context, could serve as a kind of visual interface, much like a symbolic language or cosmic hologram, allowing the subconscious mind to perceive, interpret, and decode subtle vibrations of information contained in the Akashic Records.
3. Neurophysiological Basis of Phosphene-based Perception
From a neuroscientific standpoint, phosphenes emerge from subtle patterns of neural activity within the visual cortex, retina, and brain. It is plausible to suggest, metaphorically or metaphysically, that when the brain and nervous system enter specific states of meditation and deep relaxation, the brain’s inherent “noise” and spontaneous neural firings could begin resonating or synchronizing with deeper cosmic fields or informational patterns often called the Akasha.
In this hypothesis, phosphenes become more than random neurological phenomena: they become a form of perceptual resonance with deeper informational fields. By entering specific states of consciousness, practitioners may tune their perceptual mechanisms (the brain and mind) to resonate with information beyond typical physical or sensory boundaries.
4. Historical and Traditional Perspectives
Many ancient cultures and traditions explicitly connect inner visual phenomena (such as phosphenes, visions, or inner lights) with spiritual insights or knowledge. For example, ancient Hindu meditation techniques, Tibetan Buddhist visualization methods, medieval Christian contemplative traditions, and even certain shamanic cultures, all view internal visions as avenues to profound wisdom or insight. From this viewpoint, the Akashic Records, perceived as symbolic visual patterns and imagery, could be experienced directly through meditative phosphene practice.
5. Phosphenes as Symbolic Language
Phosphenes often spontaneously appear as symmetrical, geometric, or kaleidoscopic forms, sometimes resembling symbolic representations, angelic figures, mandalas, fractal patterns, or archetypal imagery. In a meditative context, these visual impressions could become encoded symbols, metaphorically translating subtle Akashic knowledge into patterns comprehensible to human consciousness.
Just as dreams utilize symbolic visual language to communicate deep truths or subconscious insights, phosphenes might operate similarly, representing Akashic data symbolically rather than literally. The skillful practitioner can become adept at “reading” these symbolic messages, intuitively decoding the deeper meanings held within.
6. Practicing Access to Akashic Information via Phosphenes
To explore the possibility of perceiving Akashic information through phosphenes, practitioners can:
- Cultivate regular, deep meditation practices emphasizing phosphene awareness.
- Focus consistently on observing and decoding visual patterns as symbolic language.
- Develop strong intuitive receptivity and inner sensitivity.
- Engage in contemplation, journaling, or artistic expression to interpret phosphene patterns symbolically, possibly revealing deeper insights.
Through disciplined practice and heightened sensitivity, the internal visual field could gradually become clearer, more meaningful, and more informative, potentially enabling practitioners to access what could be termed “Akashic insights.”
So we found a new way into this realm of divine knowledge!
While the concept of using phosphenes to access the Akashic Records remains speculative from a strictly scientific viewpoint, it resonates deeply with many mystical, spiritual, and esoteric traditions. The phosphene meditation described above can serve as a powerful experiential tool to explore this intriguing possibility personally. Regardless of one’s metaphysical orientation, phosphene-based meditation undeniably provides profound opportunities to explore inner states of consciousness, insight, creativity, and self-awareness, making it a rich, fascinating, and spiritually meaningful practice.
It is in our joint subjective hyperspace that we can meet the divine, upload and download information which relates us to the source.
